Based on the Scopus database and evaluated through six key indicators including citations, H-index, and HM-index adjusted for co-authorship, the list comprises two rankings: Career-Long Impact and Single-Year Impact. It is widely regarded as a gold standard for measuring academic influence.

Prof. Scott B. Hansen, Principal Investigator of the Hansen Lab, CIMR, has been named in the 2026 Single-Year Impact ranking. According to the official database, 125 scholars from Capital Medical University were included in the Single-Year Impact list, including 4 scholars from the Chinese Institute for Medical Research. This recognition reflects Prof. Hansen's sustained international impact in ion channels, lipid signaling, anesthesia mechanisms, and Alzheimer's disease research.
